For European Heritage Days, the Bastide du Jas de Bouffan presents a rich and varied program: self-guided tours, behind-the-scenes insights into the restoration, live performances in the garden (circus, dance), and evening video mapping.
Daytime Program (September 19 & 20):
- Self-Guided Tours of the Bastide: Explore Cezanne’s family home (Free admission, booking required online or on-site subject to availability).
- Free Access to the Gardens: Stroll freely through the estate’s park (Free access).
- Focus on Restoration & Heritage Crafts:
Conference and tour: "The Decorative Paintings of the Bastide du Jas de Bouffan: Understanding to Restore, or the Importance of Preliminary Studies."
Take a behind-the-scenes look at the Bastide through the latest research and studies conducted on-site. Led by heritage conservators from Sinopia, this talk will reveal recent mural discoveries and the progress of the restoration work. The presentation in the auditorium will be followed by a guided tour inside the Bastide.
