The last studio of the painter Paul Cezanne, this small pavilion on top of the Lauves hill overlooks the rooftops of the city of Aix-en-Provence and invites visitors to discover the artist’s intimate world.
After a major phase of restoration, the Atelier des Lauves reopens for the summer 2026, marked by the commemoration of the 120th anniversary of the death of the Master of Aix. In this place full of memory, visitors can discover Cezanne’s working tools, his models, and the familiar objects that once guided his artistic exploration.
Rich in history, this house is now entering a new chapter. The ongoing restoration program aims to restore the site’s full authenticity and to reveal an essential part of the artistic and cultural heritage of Aix-en-Provence.
