This 18th-century Provençal country house was the refuge of the Cezanne family for nearly 40 years. It witnessed the artistic evolution of the man now considered the father of modern art, from his earliest experiments painted on the walls of “The grand salon” to his last masterpieces such as “The Card Players.” (Les joueurs de cartes, 1890-92).
Long kept private, this country house—now located in the heart of the urban fabric of Aix-en-Provence—is currently undergoing an important restoration program. For the summer of 2026, the site reopens its doors and invites visitors to discover behind the scenes of this exceptional project.
Come explore the history of this house, so essential in the life of Paul Cezanne. Walk in the footsteps of the Master of Aix, but also in those of his relatives, his visitors, and everyone who brought life to this place.
